Lov'in You

I am at heart a romantic. I like the romance part of life and to be honest, all the marital benefits of it as well. =] What kinda cheeses me is that the whole Valentines thing has gotten out of hand. It is so commercial, like everything, I guess. I really think that if we have to be reminded to show love toward our spouses on one particular day of the year over the 364 other days then we are living on the perverbial thin ice in our marital relationship already and one box of chocolates isn’t going to rescue anything.

The whole hallmark holiday thing makes me sick and angry to the point of rebelling against it. But if I did I would be stuck looking like the lone goofball who cares more about twenty bucks than I care about my wife. So I can’t stop.
Unless:
Unless we all stopped at the same time, then it could work and all of the evil money hungry businesses would fail because we didn’t cave in and buy their chocolate and flowers and cards on February 14th anymore! Hahaha! We would triumph! We would laugh and dance and celebrate our victory with a long conga line.
Bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, ba!
Bum, bum, bum, bum, bum, ba!
All the way to the store on the 15th anyway!
So go and buy your bride/hubby something and celebrate this crazy little thing called love on Valentines Day too!

Women like Valentines Day because it gives them an opportunity to 'show off' the great husband that they have. Even though we are able to brag any other day of the year...Anyway, wives look forward to the outward show of emotion and love displayed by their hubbies because that isn't often done every other day. Go to Kmart spend two dollars on one rose and tell her you love her more and more everyday because it will make her happy.
