In the context of a church where everyone was accepted and freedom was strewn about by the boatload, regardless of how one lived, one young, brave, German Pastor spoke into the wilderness of an impenitent people, these words:

“Only he who believes is obedient and only he who is obedient believes.”

Dietrich Bonhoeffer was hanged in the concentration camp at Flossenbürg on April 9, 1945 for his participation in the small Protestant resistance movement about one month before the Allies won the Second World War in Europe.

Are you tired constantly?

Monthly Update?

All right this is ridiculous! I haven’t written for a whole month now, I think that is the longest I have gone without posting - ever! So I am going to try and be a little more diligent.
Life has been good and busy too. The holidays were quickly upon us and over in a blink of an eye so here is a quick update on my family:

My daughter is getting huge =] with the baby just about six weeks away from being born into our world I still have a hard time conceiving the fact that I am going to be a grandfather, it’s just so weird! They have finished Carson's room and it looks great. Perfect for a baby boy to destroy!

Matthew is still in California and we haven’t been able to talk to him since Christmas morning when he called, which was a very nice Christmas gift for the whole family. We have an ongoing ordeal about trying to get him a phone which it now appears the post office has lost!!! URGGG! He apparently is working everyday now and loving all the snowboarding. I told Connie the other day that he is going to be so good at riding when he comes back that he won't want to ride the puny snowpiles in Michigan anymore.

Ryan got into an accident and we are trying to get his car back on the road before I leave for Mexico on the 25^th. He's back at SC4 for the spring and is in the process of applying to OM to leave hopefully in the fall for one-two years on the minsitry ships that travel the planet helping people.

While in Mexico we are going to rebuild the house that burned down last summer and work on the bunkhouse project, trying to make it finally functional for the summer building season!
